People Capital Retains Robert Lavet Former General Counsel for Sallie Mae to Provide Advice and Assistance on Regulatory Issues

New York, June 8, 2009, People Capital, a Web resource for college students to attain student loans via an online lending exchange, announces that Robert Lavet of D.C. law firm Powers, Pyles, Sutter & Verville PC and former general counsel for Sallie Mae, has been retained by People Capital to provide advice and assistance on regulatory issues. Lavet will help advise the company with issues including compliance with the Higher Education Opportunity Act, Truth-in-Lending Act and their implementing regulations, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and other state and federal statutes, including state consumer lender licensing requirements.
